WWDC 2021 scheduled for June

Apple officially announced its WWDC 2021 event for next June. The event designation will be “Glow and Behold”.

This year the event will be held virtually between the 7th and the 11th of June. It is expected that the future of the software of the different platforms of the brand will be revealed as well as the presentation of iOS 15, macOS 12 and watchOS 8, although the news may not stop here.

This will be the second consecutive year that the Apple event will take place in virtual mode, all due to the currently existing pandemic of COVID-19. The event will be free for all programmers.

In 2020, the entire virtual section of the WWDC was produced with the aim of reaching a larger number of participants, especially considering the cost of travel that is associated with going to San Jose in California to physically attend the session. Current CEO Tim Cook said last year’s event had a total of 22 million attendees. The brand managed to add a total of 72 hours of video specially dedicated to programmers.

The event will take place between the 7th and the 11th of June. When joining WWDC, programmers will be part of a program online very attractive with announcements, sessions and experiences in the so-called lab without any cost to them. They will also see firsthand the latest news that Apple will be booking for its platforms, tools and technologies, as well as the latest innovative games and applications.

Apple says its WWDC 2021 “will offer unique insight into the future of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.”. Susan Prescott advanced in a press release: “We love bringing our developers together each year at WWDC to learn about our latest technologies and to connect them with Apple engineers. We are working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and are excited to offer Apple developers new tools to support them as they create apps that change the way we live, work, and play. ”

It is possible that at this year’s WWDC some kind of hardware to the developers, given that with the process of transition from the Mac line to the new Silicon processors, the rumors point that new iMacs, MacBook Pros and others may be on the way.
