Watch a ´picanço´ between a BMW X5 M, X6 M50, and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe

Although the ´Bimmer´ was ultimately victorious, it is clear that Porsche deserves a consolation prize for having the best ´escape´ score. Although the two BMW´s produce a very benign sound, it must be said that the Cayenne brings some personality to the table with its baritone ´smungão´ sound in a soundtrack.

Unlike most ´Drag-Race´ videos, this time the competition between Porsche and BMW starts with a race of 30 mph (48 km / h). Much to our surprise, the ‘least likely’ Porsche Cayenne won the first victory, after the Bimmer lost a gear change. However, the next race was much closer, with the BMW X5 M winning by about two car lengths.

The third and final race was attended by a BMW X6 M50, but produced results very similar to those of the second competition. From start to finish, the X5 M was simply too fast for others – making room for two cars relatively easily.

Performance SUVs are often a hotly contested topic in the automotive community. Regardless, the Germans – among others – have been producing some incredibly fast four-door passenger cars. The latest Trackday video on YouTube shows the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe against BMW X5 M and X6 M50 to see who wins.

Before we all start a massive discussion in the comments, we are well aware that the BMW X5 outperforms Porsche in the power department. The Porsche Cayenne’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 541 horsepower (403 kilowatts), compared to the BMW X5 M, which comes with a 4.4-liter 600 hp (447 kW) 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. It may not seem like a big difference, but power is everything when it comes to a ‘half mile’ race.
