THE Emirates announces the launch of the first app of Virtual Reality (VR) applied to the world of aviation. With this new feature, users can experience the cabins Gamechanger First Class from Emirates, explore the A380 Onboard Lounge company exclusive or even knowing the entire cabin as if they were sitting in row 77 – all without having to leave the comfort of their own homes, thanks to a unique experience assured in market-leading RV technology.

Any user with an Internet connection can experience this experience by accessing, connecting to the Emirates app, or on the Oculus Store – for customers oculus rift. Through an innovation created in partnership with the technology company renaissance, Emirates passengers can now navigate Economy, Business and First Class cabins, explore their seats, and even enjoy the iconic Lounge, Shower and Spa on the airline’s A380. Emirates is still working on an updated version with the cabin Premium Economy and with the latest interiors of its A380s.

In future developments, Emirates also plans to offer passengers the ability to explore destinations, select a cabin and book and pay for Emirates flights via the Emirates Oculus VR app.


Currently, users can explore the following Emirates VR experiences using:

  • App Emirates Oculus VR via the Oculus Store, which offers users accurate experiences aboard Emirates A380 and Boeing 777-300ER Gamechanger aircraft – full-size and with interactive in-cabin content. Users also have the opportunity to “grab” objects in the Lounge, “turn on” the shower in the spa, or close the doors of private suites. Furthermore, it is also possible to explore the cockpit.
  • on computers, mobile devices or on the app from Emirates for IOS and Android. The experience provides a 360 and 3D VR view from inside the cabin of the Emirates Boeing 777 and Airbus A380. Passengers can also explore their seats before checking in online via the 3D seat map. The tool allows passengers to navigate from one seat to another and reserve their favorite seats. Users can also enjoy this navigation. hands free in the cabin and select your seats using RV goggles such as the Google Cardboard. This award-winning technology is compatible with all devices – no external applications or plug-ins required.

It should also be noted that this virtual reality experience was nominated as a finalist for the top 6 of the 5th International VR Awards 2021 in the category “VR Marketing of the year“.
