Regardless of the possible teasers in the story, the post seems to confirm something Diesel recently suggested – that the working title for Fast and Furious 10 is FX, or some possible variant.
Given the bizarre and inconsistent naming conventions the franchise has employed in the past, this seems quite appropriate. Regardless of Brian’s role in the story or whether Dom ends up trying open-wheel racing or not, ‘Fast and Furious 10’ is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting films of 2023.
Now, and in a new video posted on Instagram, Diesel seems to elicit some details about Fast and Furious 10 Filmed on the track of an Italian F1 Race, the clip shows Diesel in a ‘Fast and Furious’ blouse with the names Toretto and O’Conner underneath of the word “fraternity.” “The race!! Big things to come…”, says the caption, with “ #FX #Italy #Leadwithlove #Toretto #Fastsaga ”. Could Diesel be hinting that some F1 race will be in the future for Dom and the rest of the Fast family? Vin Diesel seems, then, to have released some details of the Fast and Furious 10 now in a new video in a post from an Italian Formula 1 race. The film, the first of a two-part finale to the main Fast saga, is planned to be released in theaters on April 7, 2023. As F9: The Fast Saga, Fast and Furious 10 will be directed by Justin Lin and ‘star’ Diesel alongside names like Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.
Although a concrete release date has already been set, few details about Fast and Furious 10 have been released. The end of F9 sets up a series of interesting plots, such as the potential redemption of Dom Toretto’s brother Jakob (John Cena) and the continuing threat of Cipher (Charlize Theron). With the last two movies, the saga planned to connect directly, Fast and Furious 10 could turn out to be the most exciting episode in the franchise.
The race itself could be coincidence, or it could be a clue that Brian O’Conner, the Paul Walker character of the franchise, will play a bigger role in the story of Furious Speed 10 than in previous films. Dom’s father, who finally got some on-screen flashback time in F9, was also a pro driver, and it would be fun if Dom got behind the wheel of a real race car in the next movie.
