It is the third installment of the trailer for Test Drive Unlimited , and which now shows the new game on its way to Hong Kong. The original CGI teaser revealed the name of the game – Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown – and little else, but a new teaser that came out today reveals a little more. The new trailer announces the location of the new game and its release date.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown hits game consoles and PCs on September 22, 2022 and will even reach all consoles. The game will not only be available on the latest ‘game hardware’, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, if you can find one, but it will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. KT Racing is known for developing franchises of WRC and TT Isle of Man video games.
Video game developer KT Racing provided little information last year when it announced the return of the Test Drive Unlimited video game franchise. Recent episodes of the Test Drive game have made game localization an important part of the open world driving experience, and Solar Crown is no different. The new game will take racers to the high-tech, neon-filled streets of Hong Kong in the glory of high definition.
Previous episodes have taken players to Oahu, Hawaii, and Ibiza, Spain. Drivers in the new game won’t be restricted to city streets, as parts of the big Hong Kong Island will also be accessible, which should be great for off-road fun. The trailer shows the island’s coast and tree-covered hills. The mystery still surrounds the game’s story, though players are likely to fight among Hong Kong street runners for the championship.
Previous episodes allowed players to buy houses, clothes and, of course, new cars. This could return in the new game and would be suitable for micro-transactions. The footage shown so far in the trailers is all CGI, which doesn’t show the final graphics, although the trailers are very promising.
