Voice chats in any group across the platform can be converted to video calls by tapping the camera icon to play the video on your device.
Telegram says that an unlimited number of users can participate in the voice call. But group video calls are limited to the first 30 people who join the voice chat.
The platform added in its announcement that it plans to increase this limit soon. Users can also share their screens during a video call.

However, Telegram is lagging behind the competition in terms of adding group video calls. WhatsApp, which had 2 billion users as of February, added group video calls and group voice calls in 2018.

And you can tap on any video to make it full screen. And if you pin a video, it stays focused as new users join the call and turn on their cameras.
Besides group video calls, Telegram has added many other new features, including improved noise cancellation and animated backgrounds.
And the platform has improved noise cancellation in voice chats to keep everyone’s voice clear and crisp. It also added an option to turn off noise suppression in the settings.
Users of Telegram apps on Android or iOS can choose from several default options or create their own animated wallpapers.

Tablets and computers have more screen space and offer more viewing options. You can click to open the side panel and see the video grid split screen and participant list optimized for both portrait and landscape orientation.
Desktop voice chats open in a separate window, so you can type and talk together. Desktop apps also have selective screen sharing so you can stream an individual program instead of the entire screen.
And when you use the desktop app, anyone who starts screen sharing is automatically installed. This is useful when small teams come together to coordinate their work.
