Bandai Corporation announced Game Tamagotchi Pix, a fusion of the classic ’90s pet-breeding Tamagotchi game with a new integrated camera for taking photos with your digital pet.
Tamagotchi Pix preserves the essence of the experience with its egg shape and three buttons, with the goal of raising a virtual pet.
The hypothetical pet goes through different stages of life, such as hatching from an egg, and requires attention, such as asking to be fed or playing with it, and it dies after a few days.
And for those who know the original game, they will find the new game updated in line with the year 2021.
And instead of the pixelated black and white screen, the screen is full color, andThere is a built-in camera that lets you take pictures with your virtual pet, along with the touch buttons instead of the usual physical buttons.
And in order to feed your virtual pet, you can cook for it or order food delivery service.
You can also raise a virtual pet by drawing or cooking with it, and use the camera to take pictures of your pet.
Pictures captured with the game are stored locally, and any photos you take will appear in a feed documenting your time with your virtual pet.
There is also an exploration mode, where other Tamaguchi friends appear to do activities with your virtual pet.
You can schedule play dates and call a friend’s device through the Tama Code. However, like the original version, no wireless network connection is required to use Tamagotchi Pix.
The Tamagotchi Pix is available for $ 60, and the company opens the door to initial orders. The game will go on sale in July.
This is not the first time Bandai has revived the game, as it launched a miniature version of the digital pet game in 2017 to celebrate. It is the 20th anniversary of its founding in North America.
And in 2019, the company launched Tamagotchi On, which introduced the virtual pet via a color device to the North American market.
And in its nearly 25 years in the market, the company said it has sold more than 82 million Tamagotchi games globally.
The brand was first launched in 1996 in Japan, and arrived in America the following year.
