Sony plans to make a big leap towards portable gaming, with the largest PlayStation games being key to the effort.

The company has a long history of trying to integrate the PlayStation brand with phones, albeit without much success.
Aside from the small number of games, Sony’s most famous effort is Xperia Play, the premier PlayStation phone that failed commercially.
This phone was launched in 2011 with 60 games, some of which were PlayStation classics, and included Cool Boarders 2, Destruction Derby, MediEvil, and Siphon Filter.

According to the job description, the candidate is responsible for leading and developing mobile gaming strategy and helping to shape the future of gaming while being the head of this new business unit within PlayStation Studios.
The most popular PlayStation franchises include the Uncharted series, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, God of War, and Ratchet & Clank, and we may see portable copies as a result of this new installment.
The job advertisement says: The roadmap needs to be developed for a period of between three and five years, with growth targets, resource needs and key performance indicators identified.
Sony has a mobile game publishing company called PlayStation Mobile that has published the likes of the PlayStation app, PS Remote Play and Run Sackboy! Run !, the puzzle game Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, and the game God of War | Mimir’s Vision, along with a host of PlayLink games, such as: Hidden Agenda and Erica.
Interestingly, Sony has also used PlayStation Mobile to publish PlayStation games via the computer, such as: Horizon, Gone to the Rapture, and Days Gone.
It is not difficult to know why Sony is pursuing the mobile phone, as portable games can bring the PlayStation brand to a much wider audience and reap profits from in-app purchases.
Games such as: Fortnite, PUBG and Roblox owe a great deal of their success to mobile players, but the challenge lies in the method of implementation, so that the games themselves must adapt to the mobile phone without losing what makes them distinctive across the gaming platform.
