ASUS Republic of Gamers presents the 43-inch ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition monitor, which is the result of the merger between the R&D teams of ROG and Xbox, and was designed to push the limits of next-gen gaming.
ROG continues to set standards in the gaming market, with innovative equipment that empowers gamers and enthusiasts everywhere. ROG monitors have consistently been the pioneers, as demonstrated recently with the introduction of mini LED technology for HDR gaming, as well as 360Hz displays for eSports professionals.
“On the Xbox design team, we’re always striving to improve our fans’ gaming experience. We’re pleased to announce this partnership with ASUS ROG to create new gaming displays that let you make the most of the speed, performance and technology of the Xbox Series X|S,” says Matt Kesselring, Xbox Hardware and Partnerships director.
Created for Xbox
The powerful 43-inch Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition monitor allows gaming in 4K (3840×2160) without so-called “chroma subsampling” (color compression) on Xbox Series X via HDMI 2.1 and supports up to 120 Hz on Xbox Series X | S, as well as a 144 Hz 4K display via DisplayPort 1.4 when gaming on PC.
It includes an “Xbox” mode for better contrast and color as well as its own “hue” setting when paired with the Xbox Series X|S. This monitor includes an HDR Gaming Interest Group (HGiG) profile that streams amazing games in this setting, just as the developers intended.
Bright images with low lag
The ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition is DisplayHDR 1000 certified and has a maximum brightness capability of 1000 nits – three times that of OLED TVs. It has an automatic low latency mode, to reduce the input delay to less than half compared to 4K TVs. With anti-glare technology, it provides the best viewing experience, whether watching movies or playing games especially in bright surroundings.
Compatible with Xbox and computer games
The new ROG monitor features premium AMD FreeSync technology that delivers super-smooth images, up to 144 frames per second, when gaming on your computer. Super-fast frame rates are complemented by technology Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) which allows ELMB and variable refresh rate technologies to work simultaneously to eliminate the “ghosting” and the graphic effect of tearing for super sharp viewing.
It also features a variety of connectivity options, such as USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1 and 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, audio line-in and headphone jack. It also has a built-in remote control to allow users to easily adjust screen settings.
Availability and price
The ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition is now available in Portugal with a recommended price of 1,629 euros.
