Apple’s California Streaming event was filled with announcements, from the iPhone 13 lineup and the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 to the sixth-generation iPad mini.
There were a number of things users expected the company to announce. But Apple didn’t, including the new MacBook Pro and next-generation AirPods.
However, it seems that there is still hope for them to appear soon, especially considering that October is the month in which the company has historically introduced new Macs.
According to journalist Mark Gorman of Bloomberg, it’s possible that complexity The company will have another event online for at least the next several weeks.
Here are some of the more noteworthy devices we can expect to see in the coming months.
Gorman anticipates a redesigned 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro powered by the new M1X chip — the rumored name for an improved version of Apple’s M1 chip that debuted last year — early next month.
The new laptops are rumored to feature a flat-edged redesign and the return of the MagSafe magnetic charger, as well as re-adding previously removed inputs like the HDMI port and SD card slot.
And after the company unveils the MacBook Pro, Gorman also predicts we may see an upgrade to a larger Mac mini, a larger iMac, an updated Mac Pro workstation, and even a new, lower-cost MacBook Pro.
Each device is reportedly powered by the company’s next generation of in-house chips, which greatly outperform the performance and capabilities of current M1 chips. However, there is no guarantee that the company will reveal these devices before the end of the year.

Predictions for upcoming Apple computers
There were many rumors that the company might reveal the third generation of AirPods during its iPhone 13 event. So it was a big surprise when the company didn’t. However, it is possible that we will see its debut before the start of the holiday season.
When they arrive, the new AirPods feature some of the most significant shape changes since they debuted in 2016. Their design likely resembles that of the AirPods Pro, with a new case and shorter legs. But without the noise canceling feature.
The new AirPods are expected to sell for between $150 and $200. It’s not yet clear if the company might sell two different versions – one with a wireless charging case and one without – as it does with current AirPods.
During the opening speech on Tuesday. The company announced the release of the upcoming version of its smartwatch operating system, watchOS 8. Along with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 on September 20.
However, macOS users still don’t know when the official release of macOS Monterey, the successor to macOS Big Sur, will arrive.
macOS Monterey – which was first offered as a free update during WWDC 2021 and has been tested in public beta since July – is still slated to arrive in the fall.
The update brings improvements to FaceTime, Safari, and a slew of other apps. Monterey also offers features like Live Text and Universal Control. It is a feature that allows you to quickly control and transfer files across multiple Apple devices.
As there were no Mac updates during Tuesday’s event. It seems possible the company will announce a Monterey release date during the rumored event in October.
