Modern-day cars offer plenty of experiences tailored to nearly every driving scenario, from ambient lighting to suspension settings. Audio is also included to some extent with better stereo and variable exhaust systems, but Porsche is going a step further.

And theWorking Porsche is on a project called Soundtrack My Life to make the car compose unique music that responds to your driving, whether you’re on the open road or stuck in traffic.

The system plays custom, authentic music for your driving, and is somewhat similar to game music, increasing its intensity based on the acceleration, speed and centrifugal forces in the car.

It should be noted that the Porsche system is not a playlist of songs from streaming services. But the company has libraries of original music that are combined and arranged by an algorithm to suit your driving.

You can choose the music style you want, and then the system will start playing the music.

“The complexity of what’s up to the ear depends on how you drive, how fast you drive and how hard you can accelerate and brake,” said Norman Frydenberger of Porsche. As soon as you slow down or stop, the speed of the music decreases to match that.

Porsche develops a new system:

The idea is not to replace regular airtime but to give drivers another option. One advantage is that the system plays something original every time and can theoretically continue to produce new music forever.

“That’s the very exciting thing for the driver,” said Frydenberger. They test a new soundtrack every time. The format promises a long-lasting listening experience, at least three to five times longer than linear music.

This new technology is not about playing custom playlists or adjusting the tempo and tone of existing music to match the speed of the car.

According to the company, it’s all about creating an individual audio experience with a variety of sounds and musical compositions while driving.

The Soundtrack My Life system is still in the experimental stage, and Porsche has not yet decided if it will go into production. However, the automaker is currently in the process of testing the system in vehicles and creating a comprehensive trial.
