Announced OnePlus announced the first two phones in the OnePlus 9 series, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, both equipped with Hasselblad cameras.
And as expected, the OnePlus 9 Pro is the flagship, as it is built to counter the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and iPhone 12 Pro Max, while the OnePlus 9 is its lower-spec, less expensive counterpart.
OnePlus spent a lot of the advertising time talking about the cameras in the new phones, which were developed in partnership with Hasselblad.
And OnePlus says: The colors have been adjusted to look more natural and that the ultra-wide sensor on the 9 Pro and 9 is one of the largest sensors ever shipped via a smartphone.
The ultra-wide camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor at 1 / 1.56 size with f / 2.2 aperture.
Meanwhile, the main Sony IMX789 sensor on the 9 Pro comes with a 48MP resolution and a size of 1 / 1.43 (the regular 9 has a Sony IMX689 sensor but is 48MP).
The 9 Pro also has a monochrome sensor, and both phones have a 16-megapixel front camera.
On the software side, OnePlus has added Hasselblad Pro mode that provides additional control over shooting settings and includes the focus feature.
With regard to video, the 9 Pro can shoot at up to 8K at 30 frames per second, or 4K at 120 frames per second, and there is also an enhanced Nightscape Video mode for low-light photography.
The 9 Pro has a curved screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz that uses LPTO technology to adjust the refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz based on the content displayed on the screen, reducing energy consumption by up to 50 percent.
OnePlus said: The user should feel more responsive when using the screen through games that support Hyper Touch technology.
The screen has a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and supports HDR10 +, and at the same time, OnePlus 9 has a flat screen that is not curved, but it still has a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The 9 Pro and 9 are powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor and are available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The two phones support 65-watt Warp Charge technology, and OnePlus says: You should be able to charge the 4,500 mAh phone battery to 100 percent in less than half an hour.
The 9 Pro can also be charged wirelessly at 50W and is designed to be able to charge wirelessly regardless of whether directed in portrait or landscape mode, while the 9 can be charged wirelessly up to 15W.
In terms of colors, OnePlus 9 Pro is available in black, silver and green, while OnePlus 9 is available in black, light purple and blue.
