Brought NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, GeForce RTX 3070, and GeForce RTX 3080 to gaming laptops less than six months after introducing the GeForce RTX 3000 series GPUs to desktop computers.
NVIDIA promises significant gains in energy efficiency, thanks to the new Ampere architecture, along with visible performance improvements over the GeForce RTX 2000 series notebooks.
It is assumed that more than 70 laptop computers will be available for games with new mobile GPUs GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3080 on January 26, while laptops will come with GeForce RTX 3060 units on February 2.
Prices for laptops with GeForce RTX 3060 start at $ 1,000, and Nvidia says: It’s faster 1.3 times that of PS5.
The prices of laptops that include GeForce RTX 3070 start from $ 1,300, and Nvidia says: They are up to 1.5 times faster than the previous GeForce RTX 2070 systems, and provide 90 frames per second at a resolution of 1440 pixels.
GeForce RTX 3080 laptops start at $ 2,000, and may include up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory – more than is available on the GeForce RTX 3080 desktop GPU.
Nvidia claims that these laptops provide more than 100 frames per second at a resolution of 1440 pixels.
These laptops use the third generation of Nvidia’s Max-Q, designed for thinner and lighter gaming laptops.
The Max-Q variants are designed to extract the most GPU power from the GeForce RTX 3000 series card into a more thermally restrictive chassis.
Nvidia and laptop manufacturers are tweaking drivers and thermal and electrical components to make this a reality.
Nvidia says: Advance laptops equipped with the third generation of Max-Q Poor performance of the previous generation.
NVIDIA uses the new Dynamic Boost 2.0 technology in these mobile devices that use artificial intelligence to balance power between the CPU, GPU, and GPU memory.
The new Dynamic Boost 2.0 technology works on a per frame basis, which means that a laptop can balance its power needs in real time.
The laptops included with the GeForce RTX 3080 should be powerful enough to handle Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Nvidia also introduces WhisperMode 2.0 with the notebook computers included in the GeForce RTX 3000 series, so that you can choose different audio levels, allowing the artificial intelligence to manage fan speeds and game settings to stay at the desired audio level.
