Volvo Car Portugal announces the arrival in the country of its second 100% electric model – the Volvo C40 Recharge.

A 100% electric root

The Volvo C40 Recharge is a crossover that gives drivers all the benefits of an SUV, but with a design inspired by the lines of a typical coupe, even more elegant. The new car is built on the CMA platform and is the first model in the history of Volvo Cars designed, and thought, from scratch, to be a 100% electric model.

After the 100% electric XC40 Recharge, whose commercialization also began this year in Portugal, Volvo Cars promises to present a new 100% electric model per year, until 2030. It should be remembered that, from that year on, the Swedish brand intends to commercialize , only, 100% electric cars.

blankNew design and reference infotainment

The front design of the C40 Recharge reflects a whole new appearance for Volvo’s electric models which include headlamps with state-of-the-art pixel technology.
At the rear, the model features distinctive lights, with a completely redesigned design and seamlessly integrated with a characteristically plunging roofline.

Inside, the C40 ensures an elevated driving position, in line with the current preferences of most drivers. The model also has a series of colors available, among which the launch one stands out – Fjord Blue, which is another novelty and exclusive options. It is also the brand’s first car without any animal skin component.

The 100% electric C40 Recharge features one of the most advanced and complete infotainment systems on the market, developed in conjunction with Google based on the Android operating system. This model has an unprecedented level of connectivity and may receive software updates “over-the-air” (OTA) progressively improving its performance over time.

Its propulsion is guaranteed by two electric motors located on the front and rear axles. The battery capacity is 78kWh and it is capable of charging, in about 40 minutes, 80% of its limit.

The C40 Recharge offers a range of 420 km (WLTP) which should also improve over time through the aforementioned OTA software updates.

In line with the ambition to build a less complex product line, this new car is available in the Twin AWD First Edition version, featuring two distinct purchase options for private customers or companies that include not only the car, but a wide range of services.

The PVPR is €47,376.02, plus VAT and already includes an extended warranty and 3 years of maintenance. There is also the possibility of renting, with an initial down payment of €3,100 and €320 per month, for 60 months.

Similar to what happened with the 100% electric XC40, which we can have a first impression of, the C40 Recharge is launched through a specific online monitoring, at
