Thinking about the little ones, Netflix has launched two new features. The streaming service will send a biweekly newsletter to the account subscriber with the contents consumed by their children, which will include some tips to improve parental control. It will also recommend similar content based on your viewing history. The company hopes to debut this feature on Saturday.
Netflix got a partnership with Moonbug Entertainment, so it will include in its catalog series like CoComelon, Blippi and Little Baby Bum. Due to the agreement with Universal, films such as Minions: The Rise of Gru, will be able to be seen on the platform.
Netflix will also have a list of suggestions, a kind of Top for children, where it will show the most popular series and movies in this category. The list will reflect the preference of more than 208 million customers, distributed across 93 countries where the platform has a presence. This way, it will be easier for parents to choose the most suitable content for their children, as they will have access to the game, the trends of that moment.
Netflix users will be able to access a new Top 10 page for kids. They can filter by the most recent content or the most popular ones. One of the last movies the streaming company put out was The Mitchells vs the Machines.
According to the news The Verge, the company announced that the Top 10 will appear on all newer devices and operating systems, except for Apple TV.
With its direct competitor, Disney+, growing every day, this is one way for Netflix to increase its offering.
