Coinciding with the launch of the new Surface Laptop 4 that focuses on productivity, Issued Microsoft has four new accessories, including its first webcam in nearly a decade, two business headsets and a USB-C speaker.
The software giant is looking to take advantage of The big increase In using Microsoft Teams with a host of new devices that work well with their collaboration software.
The new group comes on the heels of Microsoft’s introduction Hardware software Microsoft Teams approved last year for third-party products that offer a dedicated Microsoft Teams button and premium microphone for workplace calls.
Since then, peripheral device maker Logitech and headphone manufacturer Jabra have launched products that meet the requirements, and Microsoft is now following the lead.
After a long absence, the company today launches a new modern webcam that offers 1080p video at 30 frames per second with HDR support.
The webcam, which can be connected to your device, desk or tripod, features a standard 78-degree field of view and True Look features such as: face retouching, fixed lighting adjustment, and autofocus.
As for privacy, the webcam comes with a built-in shutter and LED indicator so you can stay away from the camera when you want to.
Microsoft says the new webcam is designed for face-to-face calls, including Microsoft Teams meetings.
In terms of design, the webcam looks like an updated version of the LifeCam HD 3000, originally released in 2011, with more rounded edges.
At 88.3 grams, it is also approximately 8 grams lighter than the old webcam, and can be obtained in June for $ 70.

Both come with a Microsoft Teams button that places the app at the front of the computer screen, and lets you quickly join a meeting and check for missed calls and voicemail.
