Matrix 4: Trailer and title unveiled during Warner Bros CinemaCon Reel

“I’m crazy?” asks Reeves, Neo in the movie. “We don’t use that word here,” says Harris’s therapist. Reeves contacts Carrie Anne Moss, ‘Trinity’, in a cafe: “Have we met?” she asks Neo. The trailer begins with Neil Patrick Harris talking to Neo, Keanu Reeves.

In the near future, in San Francisco, it seems that Neo is trapped in a monotonous world, much like his first self in the 1999 movie, but unable to find his surroundings.

That’s how the Matrix 4 trailer and its title were unveiled during Warner Bros’ CinemaCon Reel, which came like this and now, with a big reveal on Tuesday at its CinemaCon presentation: your Matrix 4 trailer in a co- production with Roadshow Village. And Warner then also brought us the official title: The Matrix: Resurrections.

A dose of blue pills spills into a sink as Jefferson Airplane’s song “White Rabbit” plays. Then an image of Neo distorting into an old man in the mirror. A younger Morpheus tells Neo “time to fly”, handing him a red pill. Then, lots of jumps, lots of twists in the air, karate and all the acrobats we expect from a Matrix movie.


The film, directed by Lana Wachowski, is scheduled to open on December 22nd, but there’s no word yet on when the trailer will hit social media – this was just for CinemaCon audiences. Before shooting the trailer, Reeves and Moss appeared in a making-of clip recounting how much and how the first film impacted their lives.
