Cheaper earphones almost always come with cuts, whether it’s sound quality, an incorrect ear fit, lack of noise cancellation or low battery. Not so with the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite, a wireless headphones that are affordable and at the same time have a great quality.

You Honor Earbuds 2 Lite cost €60 and, for just that price, we get many of the features we usually associate with more expensive headsets, despite being available on Aliexpress, it comes from Spain so there are no extra fees to pay when the product arrives, and that’s still be pretty quick. They deliver rich, detailed sound along with genuinely bright active noise cancellation. These features make it easy for the user to tune in to the music they are listening to, no matter the environment they are in.

The Honor 2 Lite headphones feature a discreet profile, and a very simple design. They have protruding temples, like the ones found on Apple AirPods, and a variety of silicone tip sizes to allow for a snug fit. They are also very light, so you can use them during long music listening sessions.

The buttons have been given an IPX4 water resistance rating, making them a great choice if you are looking for a wireless headset to go for a run, as they are water and sweat resistant.

Perhaps the worst criticism we can make of Earbuds 2 Lite is that the touch controls aren’t the best. While the buttons are useful, the headset doesn’t always respond quickly, or not at all. We often have to tap it several times to make the function work, to the point where it’s much easier to manually control the music from the smartphone.

The compact design of these headphones also extends to the carrying case. It easily fits in your pocket, which is not unusual for wireless headphones. What’s more, the headphones charge very quickly via USB-C, and we get a cable that’s included in the box.

Another highlight of these headphones is their comfort. The Honor 2 Lite are ideal for long listening sessions, fitting securely in your ears, to the point that you rarely need to adjust them.

Everyone’s experience at this point will vary, but it’s safe to say that these headphones not only fit well, they’re also comfortable and not irritating even after a few hours of listening to music.

sound quality

the earphones Honor Earbuds 2 Lite they deliver incredibly clear and rich sound that is suitable for listeners of any type. If you’re looking for headphones that simply get the job done without sounding distorted or weak, Earbuds 2 Lite are a great choice.

That said, bass heads might want to look for other headphones. Performance isn’t terrible here at all, but it’s clearly not the focus of Earbuds 2 Lite. The sound stage here is more neutral, making these headphones something of a jack of all trades. The overall listening experience is of high quality, with the headphones avoiding a cloudy sound as a result of overwhelming bass.

The acoustic experience is so clear, in fact, that the Earbuds 2 Lite are able to capture small details in music that we hadn’t noticed before. Instruments and vocals are very defined, no matter if the vocalist is male or female.

As mentioned, these headphones offer rich, high-quality sound with good mids and highs, but bass lovers might want to look for other headphones; its ‘low-end’, likewise, is not the most powerful.

Noise cancellation

With these headphones, we don’t need to worry about background noise either; 2 Lite Earbuds have excellent active noise cancellation. This feature is available in two levels: full ANC and a second mode with a lighter touch, where the user can choose to turn it off, accessing the headphones settings through their smartphone.

It’s important to note that Honor Earbuds 2 Lite was made primarily for listening to music, so the quality of phone calls isn’t very good. Call recipients sound rather small and distant. Even worse, some words are cut off at the beginning and end of sentences. We do not recommend using these headsets for calls.

The battery life of the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite is excellent. We get about 10 hours on a single charge and about 7-8 hours if we are using the active noise canceling feature.

The carrying case is just as shiny. Charging via a USB-C connection, it quickly turns on headphones. Just a 10-minute charge will provide about four hours of battery life, and the case can provide up to 32 hours on a full charge.

Pairing the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite headsets to the devices is very simple. Whether it’s a smartphone or a smart TV, the device is instantly able to search for the headphones via Bluetooth 5.2, with pairing taking just seconds.

Pairing is also instantaneous when we remove the earphones from the charging case, and the system is able to detect when we insert or remove the earphones. By default, removing the earphones from the ears causes the music to ‘pause’ automatically, which is very useful if the user is in a busy environment.

Verdict: Honor Earbuds 2 Lite

The Honor Earbuds 2 Lite headset has so many good things that it’s hard to dismiss them for the few things they occasionally do wrong. Per just €60, we can consider that the resources we get are a bargain. Active noise cancellation, for example, is as good as what we find in more expensive headphones.

However, we have to warn that these are not the ideal headphones for those who love bass, that the sound quality in calls is terrible and that the buttons are not very responsive, having the user to apply a little force on them.

But overall, in the price range between €50 and €100, the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite is one of the best earbuds you can find on the market. There are some more expensive headphones that, despite having more features, do not have as much quality as what is present in these.
