HONOR is set to launch its first series of smartphones after HUAWEI sold its HONOR brand to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., a Chinese consortium.

This means that HONOR is now free to do business with companies located in the United States and has already revealed partnerships with Qualcomm and Google to use its Android processor and operating system, respectively, in HONOR phones, which will again put Honor “on the run”, as from what we see Huawei has been down in the smartphone market since leaving Google Mobile Services.

HONOR shared on the social network Weibo the official launch date of its upcoming Honor 50 Series smartphones. The equipment will be announced on June 16 in China, and we already know some details about the equipment, in addition to the official ones, and you certainly agree that there is still some Huawei influence on the equipment design.

In terms of processor, the company has already confirmed that the HONOR 50 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, with the Pro variant being expected to be powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.

The next HONOR phones will not only have Google Mobile Services, but will also run MagicUI on top of Android, just like the old days. It is said that the user interface will include several unique features.

HONOR appears to be dropping the rectangular chamber box of the HONOR 30 through a large pill-shaped box that contains two large circles. The upper circle on the camera module is angled to house a single large sensor, which is likely the main chamber. In contrast, the bottom circle is said to house a periscope zoom lens and a third sensor. In addition, the area around the camera case has a glossy finish that matches the color of the phone in images that have already been released.
