Thus, it incorporates new indoor activity profiles, such as indoor climbing, bouldering and swimming in a pool. In addition, Garmin has improved the profile of activity and strength training, providing a graphic of a human body, which shows which muscle groups will be worked on during the activity, being able to distinguish the intensity through the colors (red, orange and black), both in the watch and in the Garmin Connect application.

This profile also includes other elements, such as an update of the detail view of each activity and chronological graphs where you can see which exercise you were working on when your heart rate was at a certain point.

The new workouts HIIT (high intensity interval training) give you the option to choose the type of activity, set the number of repetitions and select work and rest intervals or, if you prefer, choose between different timers: AMRAP, EMOM and Tabata. In addition to the preloaded ones, you can download many more directly from Garmin Connect, plus the possibility to create and customize them.

Advanced Wellness Recognition

Venu 2 incorporates multiple 24/7 activity monitoring features that go far beyond step and calorie monitoring. Thus, it has been equipped with a set of functions that allow detailed physiological control and, therefore, an advanced daily recognition of various body parameters.

Among its main elements, the next generation heart rate sensor stands out, Garmin Elevate, able to monitor heartbeat several times per second, 24 hours a day. In addition, if the device detects that your heart rate is abnormal, both lower and higher than expected, it will send an alert to keep you on the alert.

It also provides advanced sleep monitoring, using the function Pulse Ox, which measures the oxygen saturation in the blood and calculates the different phases of sleep (awake, light, deep and REM). Likewise, it counts the number of breaths per minute and is able to detect any heart rhythm abnormalities. The combination of all these parameters results in a detailed sleep analysis that you can check on waking up thanks to the built-in sleep score that will help you to know in depth the quality of your sleep.

With the function Body Battery, which, through a combination of stress, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep and activity data, is able to calculate your body’s energy reserves at any time, so you can plan your day and optimize your activity and rest times.

In order to increase your concentration and relaxation, there are conscious breathing activities. So, when you need to breathe or reconcile your sleep, you can access four conscious breathing activities directly from the clock: “Tranquility”To promote sleep; “Coherence”To facilitate balance and calm; and two versions of “Relax and Concentrate”Designed to promote concentration and relieve stress.

If what you want is to have an overview of your well-being, it is possible thanks to the function Health Snapshot, which records your key metrics and displays them on a single screen. This recording can be done in just two minutes, taking into account heart rate, oxygen saturation, breathing and stress. It also offers the function Physiological Age, an algorithm that uses your resting heart rate, as well as your body mass index and your daily activity to find out if your physical state is higher or lower than what would correspond to your chronological age.

On the other hand, if you are a woman, it helps you to have control of both your menstrual cycle and pregnancy, analyzing the changes that the body undergoes during the menstrual cycle and pregnancy, being able to register periods and physical symptoms, as well as offering fertility forecasts during the month.

More confidence wherever you go

To help you get out with more confidence, there is a monitoring and security which, in combination with a compatible smartphone, during an activity, will automatically send a message (if a fall or an incident is detected) with your exact location, to the emergency contacts that you have previously established on Garmin Connect. If you wish, you can activate this feature at any time manually, just by pressing a clock button, and if the incident is not serious, you have a few seconds to disable the sending of the message and not alert anyone.

At the same time, and thanks to its connectivity features, you will be aware of the time, control the music, be able to receive smart notifications, locate your phone, view incoming calls, emails, calendar reminders, social network notifications… and all of this without having to take out your smartphone. Likewise, if you need to make a purchase, with Venu 2 you will not have to resort to your wallet or purse, because it includes technology Garmin Pay to make payments directly from the watch (via contactless).
