The EUSOUDIGITAL programme, which is the result of an initiative financed by Caixa Geral de Depósitos, and which aims to promote the digital literacy of one million adults in Portugal by 2023, is promoted by MUDA – Movement for Active Digital Use. the program is co-financed by Portugal Inovação Social, POISE – Social Inclusion and Employment Operational Program, Portugal 2020 and by the European Union.
The initiative was officially launched this morning, after a conference that took place in person at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos building, in Lisbon, and online. The program’s target audience is adults who have never used the internet.
“The official launch is intended to be a moment of mobilization and awareness in the country of the importance of digital inclusion for adults. It will be an inspiring, motivating event and an opportunity to look to the future, explain, debate and publicize the new EUSOUDIGITAL program. Designed to reach thousands of people on various digital and TV platforms, this launch is a television operation broadcast live throughout the morning, from the headquarters of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, in Lisbon and from various locations throughout the country. country, with interviews, debates and reports from abroad”, announced Caixa Geral de Depósitos, in a press release.
Anyone can register as a volunteer in this project and can be a mentor, however the predominant age group is expected to be between 18 and 35 years old. Thus, the project seeks young people who want to help the community.
