Doom Eternal will arrive this month with ray tracing and DLSS

NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is an innovative AI rendering technology that increases graphics performance when using the ‘Core Tensor’, it is a new and improved deep learning neural network that increases frame rates and generates more beautiful images and crisp for all games.

This technology offers room to increase performance and to maximize ´ray tracing´ settings, and increase output resolution. DLSS is powered by dedicated AI processors on RTX GPUs called Tensor Cores.

According to the ‘Bethesda’ teaser earlier this week, Doom Eternal is indeed receiving ray tracing and DLSS evolutions. Also, while Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 might be one of the best looking action adventure games on PC, and Rainbow Six Siege isn’t sloppy either, they’re about to get even better performance, that’s because Nvidia has now revealed that will get support for its DLSS features.

So, and now Nvidia revealed the news during their Computex presentation earlier this week, which they kindly posted on their website. In total, six new games are now receiving support for ‘Ray-Tracing’ and DLSS, with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rainbow Six Siege settling for the latter. In addition to the three above, perhaps the most surprising was the inclusion of the new game Icarus, from DayZ creator Dean Hall, which is not expected to be ‘out there’ until the end of this year.

Other games include LEGO Builder’s Journey, DYING: 1983, The Ascent and The Persistence. While ‘Ray-Tracing’ is certainly very welcome, DLSS can be the biggest benefit for players. Nvidia’s “Deep Learning Super Sampling” allows players to increase their resolution without a significant increase in system power, so it is certainly very welcome in case of intensive systems.

One game that then had the release date for its ‘Ray-Tracing’ and DLSS update was Doom Eternal, which apparently was supposed to receive these features sometime this month.

Nvidia says the ray tracing and DLSS features of ‘The Persistence and LEGO Builder’s Journey will also be released this month, but Red Dead Redemption 2, Rainbow Six Siege and the rest are just “coming soon” with no release forecast. definitive.

While gamers still need one of the best graphics cards on the market to take advantage of ‘Ray-Tracing’, DLSS should give people struggling with Red Dead Redemption 2 an increase in appearance without sacrificing performance. It is hoped that AMD card owners will also be able to try out this feature if FidelityFX is released this month as the manufacturer promised.
