Apple, it seems, has plans to launch its augmented reality glasses soon, probably as early as next year. This product could be another extension of the Apple ecosystem.
So that Apple Glass is no longer a failure, considering everything that has already been created in the segment, Apple has a long way of development ahead. Thus, the first test units appear to be already being produced.
Augmented Reality through the eyes of Apple
Apple's intentions to launch augmented reality glasses are nothing new. The first more concrete details emerged in May, when the product name was also glimpsed: Apple Glass.
The Apple Glass, in addition to a very elegant design, should bring a LiDAR sensor and wireless charging. The lenses, which can be graduated, will support interaction by gestures, being able to receive notifications, emails, give information such as the weather forecast and even integrate games, or information needed in daily life.
It is true that this information is not yet official, but it has been cemented over time. In July, a document that showed more details than Apple would be preparing with its AR glasses and even with HMD (head-mounted display) with a completely revolutionary screen.
Foxconn will already be producing Apple Glass
Foxconn is Apple's partner in the production of iPhones and can now be instrumental in this new segment. According to recent information, Apple Glass semitransparent lenses will already be produced by the company.
This is not a mass production, but experimental units. Apparently, the lenses went from prototype to experimental production two months ago.
According to the same source, Foxconn has been working on these lenses for three years. At this time, Apple acquired a startup that developed liquid crystal displays on silicon to project images into the lens. However, there may be no connection between this startup and the development of the glasses.
