Apple Pay arrived at Santander bank! Learn how to add your card

The Cupertino giant’s Apple Pay service has been available in Portugal since June 2019. THE Agricultural Credit Fund was the first bank in Portugal to announce adherence to the Cupertino giant’s payment system. In addition to the Caixa de Crédito Agrícola the service has also reached Millenium BCP, ActivoBank, among others.

Now it’s time for Santander customers. If they have Apple devices, they can now use Apple Pay.

Using Apple Pay can be simpler than using a physical card and also more secure. With the cards stored in the Wallet application, the user can easily use the service to make secure payments. This payment method can be used in stores, transport, applications and on websites that support the service.

How to add your Santander card to Apple Pay?

Apple users and customers of Santander they can now associate their cards with the Apple Pay service on the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, MacBook Pro with Touch ID.

On iPhone

  • Open the Wallet app
  • Touch the + sign in the upper right corner
  • Enter your card's security code to add the credit or debit card associated with your iTunes account, or add another card.

On Apple Watch

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone
  • Tap "Wallet and Apple Pay" and select "Add credit or debit card"
  • Enter your card's security code to add the credit or debit card associated with your iTunes account, or add another card.

On iPad

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap "Wallet and Apple Pay" and select "Add credit or debit card" Enter your card's security code to add the credit or debit card associated with your iTunes account, or add another card.

On MacBook Pro with Touch ID

  • Go to System Preferences
  • Select "Wallet and Apple Pay" and then "Add card"
  • Enter your card's security code to add the credit or debit card associated with your iTunes account, or add another card.

In Portugal, Apple's payment service is supported by the following banks:
