A sample Pixel 5A camera hints at the specifications

It appears that Google has mistakenly shared a sample image of its upcoming Pixel 5A phone, providing users with some hints about what to expect from the device that has not yet been announced.

The photo appeared on an album, which was published alongside Post About HDR + Bracketing from Google, which aims to reduce noise in HDR photos.

The EXIF standard data stated for most of the images that they were taken by current Pixel phones, including the Pixel 5, Pixel 4A 5G, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, but among them is one image apparently taken with the Pixel 5A.

Google recently confirmed the existence of the Pixel 5A 5G in response to rumors of the device being canceled.

Other than confirming that the device will be available later this year in the US and Japan, it did not provide any further details about the phone’s specifications or its cameras.

The picture marked as coming from the Pixel 5A has since been removed from the album, but it provided many details about the camera performance of the upcoming device.

It appears to have been taken with an ultra-wide lens, confirming previous reports that the Pixel 5A has two rear lenses – a main lens and an ultra-wide lens.

This configuration is similar to what is found in the Pixel 4A 5G phone, while the Pixel 4A has only one rear camera.

EXIF data shows that the resolution is 12.2 megapixels, which is comparable to the photos taken with the Pixel 5 phone.

Although the sensor in the Pixel 5’s ultra-wide camera is technically 16MP, it produces 12.2MP shots by default.

The EXIF data of the upcoming phone also shows that it has the same F / 2.2 aperture as the Pixel 5.

Given that the photo has been attached to a post about HDR + Bracketing, it is clear that the upcoming device supports this technology.

Combined with previous rumors, it appears that the Pixel 5A could be a very similar device to last year’s Pixel 5.

Reports indicate that it uses the same Snapdragon 765G processor, and it has a similar design with a 6.2-inch OLED screen with a slot for the front camera.

The back is expected to be made of plastic instead of glass, and the phone also has a 3.5 mm headphone port.

According to EXIF data for the leaked image, it was captured last October, just before the Pixel 5 was released.
