Taking 3D photos requires multiple cameras in order to capture a lot of data to build the depth of the scene, but now with the development of artificial intelligence technologies, 3D images can be captured with a single-lens smartphone camera, and you can also create them from the two-dimensional images in your phone’s photo library.
Here are 3 apps that help you create 3D images easily:
1- PopPic app:
PopPic app allows you to create 3D images easily, just press the Shoot button to take the picture and wait for the app to process the image, once done, you can use the editing tools below to edit the image to your liking.
The app is freely available for iPhone and iPad users App Store.
2- LucidPix Application:
LucidPix allows you to take 3D photos with the camera of any smartphone, whether new or old, without the need for a multi-lens camera, or modern built-in sensors. It is also easy to use and does not require any special photography skills.
The application relies on artificial intelligence in its work to locate objects in the scene and then create a depth map, so that you can take three-dimensional images using your regular phone’s camera, and it also allows you to convert the two-dimensional images that you have already taken into three-dimensional images, as well as create video clips of three-dimensional images to share them .
The app also includes built-in sharing options with the app’s community, or on social media platforms such as: Facebook, and also options to share on Instagram, Snapchat, and Tik Tok.
3- Facebook application:
You can use the Facebook application to create 3D images with ease, all you have to do is follow the following steps:
- Go to the Facebook app, and click in the space provided to create a new post.
- Scroll down and click on (Hologram) 3D photo.
- Select the image you want to convert from Gallery, then Preview the 3D effect by moving the phone.
- Add text and other content, then Click on the Post option.
Note: You can use the previous applications to create 3D images, but these files may not be compatible with your phone’s operating system, in other words, if you save them in your phone’s photo library, you will end up with a 2D image.
